The Iron Man

Read through Chapter 2 (attached) and find the verbs eg. clanging, clattering, gazing, tearing, creaking, looming, searching, peered.

Discuss the meaning of each word with an adult. 

What picture does each verb give you in your mind?

Think about how Hogarth is feeling.

TASK: write a diary entry in the role as Hogarth, explaining how he trapped The Iron Man and explore feelings of guilt. Use as many powerful verbs as you can.
